Default 09 Base Hardtop Mods?

Are there any suggested modifications to my 09 MINI hardtop? I am enjoying the car quite a bit. I picked up a set of 16" factory alloys to replace the 15" wheels, and this improved transition response an amazing amount.
This will be my daily driver, so I don't want to compromise too much. I am not looking for a race car on the street (or I should have saved for an S), just looking to improve an already happy start to this experience.
I was thinking about an air intake (or maybe just a better filter in the stock box), maybe an exhaust that would not be too loud. Are the ECM updates worth the trouble?
My car is still under warranty, so some of these would be just ideas for a year or so.

Any opinions are appreciated.

Thanks,
Mike

Exhaust and suspension are fun mods that you can do. Look into a Dinan muffler for a sportier sound that isn't too loud. A mild suspension perhaps springs from Eibach would make the car feel and handle sportier without the rough ride and inconvenience of a slammed ride.
