Default Cooling down the turbo

I have a 09 Mini Cooper S and when I turn off the car, I hear a hissing noise coming from the car. Not a bad hissing noise or anything, but I'm just curious. My guess is that the oils run through the turbo after I turn off the vehicle to cool the turbo down. Is that correct or is it something else?
