hi everyone and my first question relates to run flat

Ive got an 08 mini just purchased with what i was told was run flat technology how can i confirm this ? reason being is that i want to buy blizzaks for winter use ? tirerack sells both reg ws60 and run flats at a difference of about 60 bucks a tire. So id like to confirm this so i can purchase the proper tire. since my daughter will bee driving it in buffalo. what info would be needed too confirm runflats? the tires are conti 16 inch tires. would the info be in the car or on the tire ? thanks in advance for the info.

ALL stateside Mini's are Runflats from the factory.

there is a runflat symbol on the side walls , the other way is to let the air out of the tire and see that it doen't flatten
