Default Mini Clubman 2010 clutch issues

Hi,

I just bought my first Mini Clubman three months ago. I really love it; however, there is a clicking problem that I have when I shift. It really annoys me. I have brought it in for service a couple of times and basically they are telling me that the problem lies in how I'm driving it. I need to give it more gas.

So, I've been trying to do that, but still there are times when it makes this clicking noise when I shift. Also, at one point once I had parked my car I heard this very loud clunking noise in my engine. They said that was normal and that my engine was readjusting itself (perhaps due to the shifting issue). I can't imagine that this is standard in all manual Clubmans.

I would love any feedback that any of you out there might be able to give me.

Thank you,
Deb
