To buy or not to buy 2003 JCW
I need a daily driver and was considering a mini JCW, I don't want to buy new. I found a 2003 S with the JCW tune package with 66k miles on it, the car seems to be in good shape. The seller has service records as well as the certificate for the JCW tune package. A few questions.
1. Seller is asking $13,300, what would you consider to be a fair price to pay.
2. How reliable are mini's? I noticed the engine was somewhat dirty and the engine shakes, you don't feel it if you are driving or inside, it just seems to move back and forth.
3. What are somethings I should check for? I checked underneath and took a flash light to look around the engine bay for leaks I didn't spot any.
4. Is there a way to get the speedometer on the digital display on the tach? I hate having to look in the middle.
5. Could I expect at least 25mpg combined city/highway?
