CEL misfire P0300
I have a 2004 mini R50 base cooper. I am having P0300 SES light. Random multiple misfire. I have replaced the fuel pump and spark plugs with no results. On two different occasions the SES light blinked on and off several times in succession. Each time the scanner said P0300 fault. To day when I got home the light had set and I noticed when the gas pedal was pressed down the rpm would not go above 4000 even with WOT. The engine is idling rough now. I have a new coil ordered along with a fuel filter. Any suggestions other than getting rid of it? Honda is looking better every day.

CEL random misfire P0300
I received my new coil today and replaced the suspect coil. The old coil had oil on the bottom side. Now looking back the ses light appeared to be heat related as it happened on hot days. Keeping my fingers crossed and waiting for a light.

CEL random misfire P0300
Coil did not solve my problem. Still getting a light. P0300. random multiple misfire. The engine starts skipping or running rough at 2500 rpm while driving and smooths out at 3000 rpm. The light comes on about this time. Changed the plug wires and still have the problem. On one occasion I got P0301 fault light along with P0300. Two fault codes. Thats when I changed the plug wires. Something is happening at 2500 rpm causing the engine to start miss firing. Please anyone give me some advice. Thanks.
