Default Driver's door lock

Remote will open passenger side door, but not driver's??? Also when driving off, the passenger door locks automatically, but not the driver's? Has anyone had this same problem?

Can changing the actuator be done oneself, or is this a job for the "Dealer"?

yes! yes! yes! i have this exact same problem! what I found out is DO NOT PULL THE FUSE FOR THAT DOOR! I don't know why I did it, but it cancelled all the central locking and now I have to take it to a dealer to re initialize it beacuse my remote or the switch inside the car will not work. I too think I have a bad actuator in the driver door. I too would love to know how to take this door panel off. Thanks!

Default Same Problem!

Mine did that for about a week and then started working again. So I don't know if it is the actuator, it might be a bad connection or something bad with the wiring because I was told that if it was the actuator, it wouldn't start working again.

On my '04 Mini, the driver side door will not unlock using the remote fob. It locks fine with the remote and all other remote functions seem to operate as they should. The door locks and unlocks fine from the interior door lock switch. Is this a programming error with the key fob or mechanical issue such as the actuator or cable? Thanks
