Default Rear end Squat

Hi all. I've been reading the forum for awhile here and finally went out and bought me a 2006 mini cooper. Love the car but have question I have not seen discussed. Looking from the back, are the rear wheels suppose to be closer together at the top. Instead of straight up and down?, (Looks like it has a lot of weight in the back and it's bowing the wheels out). Runs fine and have not noticed any tread wear on tires. Just wondering if it is something I should look into. Thanks for any info you may give in advance. Bob
