Exclamation Transmission questions

First off, sorry for the long post. I posted a comment on the thread that has to do with the transmission that was blown, but I don't think anyone who looks at it will read to the 3rd page to answer my question haha. From that thread I understood that the CVT transmissions are unreliable and will go out eventually? Is that correct? I have a 2003 with the 5 speed manual in it, does my mini have this CVT? Or is the CVT only in automatics? Is my transmission expected to go out on me soon? It has 68,XXX miles on. After reading that thread I am really half tempted to sell or trade my mini in right away with the cost that some where saying to repair the transmission, I can't afford that at all. I don't know much about transmissions or even what transmission I have in my mini. Help me to understand this please so I don't make a mistake and sell my mini!! Thank you very much!

CVT =Continuously Variable Transmission
Also known as the AUTOMATIC Tranny in the Mini....
The Manuals are FAR superior with several I know of over 300K
Only thing you need to worry on is a worn out clutch and far less costly
