Value of a mini with blown motor?

Hi all, first time post here. I am planning on converting a mini to electric this coming year. Would like to find one with a blown motor. Any ideas on where to find one in this condition, and how much do you think it will lower the value?

I know I can find a 02-03 with 100K miles in the 8-10K range, I can deal with that price, but would like to possibly buy a newer one with bad motor. If I do buy one in running shape, what is a motor worth? Gotta keep the transmission.

Most with blown motors seem to go for around $1K less then book value ...
Motors it depends on mileage and regular or "S" models ... $400/$1000
