Default 2003 over heating

Hello all, new to this forum so please bear with me.
I just purchased this car and the young man I bought it from said he had over heated it. I changed the water pump, thermostat, coolant reservoir and cap, filled everything and took it for a test drive. About 30 min later engine temp light came on and lots of steam.
I did a compression test and the results were #1 130, #2 135 #3 120 #4 132
Are these normal numbers for a "s" engine 2003 model ?
I have no leaks anywhere, I can't seem to find where the coolant is going, other than out the tail pipe. Exhaust doesn't seem to have a sweet smell like it's burning coolant, from a bad head gasket.
Are thr r53 engines prone to having head gasket problems ? The car has 151k on the engine.
