I have an 05 Mini Cooper S and the passenger window is stuck down - sounds like a motor failure to me, kind of goes up and down like 1/2" but no more. I see that there's a few different parts for the window: There's power regulators and motors that range from $30-$150 or so... does anyone have experience with replacing the window parts and which part usually needs to be replaced? I'd like to do it myself. THANKS!

 

Do you hear any noise when you attempt to roll it up? Like something is engaging and attempting to roll the window up? Does it stop making any noise after it goes up 1/2"? You need to pull the door card and inspect to make sure something isn't detached or getting hung up. Otherwise, it may be time for a new window regulator/motor.
