Default Bad bcm? Or something else?

Have a 2005 Mini Cooper s that may have had some flooding damage previous to me buying it. (Can't remember exactly what PO said, definitely had something to do with sun roof.) I was driving it to work the other day, it had rained the night before, hit a bump and my gauge cluster died, didn't even reset anything to 0, and my brake lights come on when I turn the key off. When the key is turned on the lights go back off and function properly. Starts and runs okay, but doesn't seem like it runs the same as before. No power to fuse 5 at anytime and white connector on the bcm was corroded from water damage, but didn't look fatal. Is there anything besides the BCM that could interfere with gauges and brake lights and not cause drivability issues? Also had no power at any of the immobilizer wires that I could detect, will double check this tomorrow after work. Has new battery and didn't change anything also supplemented charging system with cables from another car just to be sure it wasn't a low power situation. Please help!
