Default First time on forum. Need an engine. Please advise me !

I am new to the forums. I have managed to keep my wife's Mini Cooper S, a 2003 model, maintained and alive over all these years with the Bentley Manual and lots of patience. Yesterday while driving 70mph down I95 in the crazy east coast heat the oil light came on and then the engine started to make "that sound" - yes, that sound only someone who has heard an engine start to sieze can identify. Clutch in and off to the shoulder I roll. Engine is siezed. No oil or fluids leaking. Looks like the oil pump ? stopped ?? Anyway, it won't turn over at all so it is bad, I know. I am ready to get a new engine for her. But I don't know where to start looking. Can anyone advise ? I would like to go with a decent low mileage used engine instead of a reman ( can't afford a reman right now ) any suggestions ? In particular I am looking to find out if I can go with a 2004/5/6 engine will it bolt right up, etc. or do I need to stick to a 2003 only ? Your help is very much appreciated. Mike.
