Default HID Headlights - both not working

Hi,

Just purchased an 04 Cooper S. High beams work great but the HID headlights (low beams) don't come on at all. I can't tell if the bulbs are burn't out and since both are out can't swap things around. I know there are ballasts as well. Odd that both would go out. Any tips on troubleshooting this?

Any help would be appreciated.

thanks in advance

Interesting. I tried changing out the low beams to HID. When I start the car they flash and then out. When I turn the key to accessories only they come on and stay on.

Can you give me more info regarding the highbeams on your car and how they are able to work.
I followed the directions on the HID kit regarding installing directly into the car's harness. Can you help me?

Question HID headlight conversion

Mr. bad venge,

Are you responding to my Mini Cooper 2006 HID low beam not working, but only when the key is turned to accessories?

Because I know that my stock headlights are not HID but halogen H7.

Any further help is always appreciated.
Thanks!
