Default Oil filler cap issue

Has anyone ever had an issue removing the oil filler cap? Mine will not loosen. It just clicks when trying to remove it. (like the clicking its suppose to do when tightening it to let you know to stop tightening it) except it's clicking when trying to remove it. anyone have any tricks to removing it when it does this?

I'm sure you are, but just make sure you are turning it the right direction (lefty loosey, righty tighty). If you are, maybe try to give it a bit more force. May want to invest in a new cap. Here if needed.

yep, lefty loosey (counter clockwise) it just spins and spins, clicking.... I've tried pulling up while turning it, pushing while turning it. stupid thing won't come off. I've already ordered a replacement. Hoping I can remove it before taking a persuader to it and risk dropping anything into the valve cover...

Try using some channel lock pliers and put a rag over the cap and see if you can get more leverage that way to twist it off.
