Default redoing a mini

i am looking for a 1974 austin mini cooper to redo. i was wondering if any one can tell me if they can be found easy, and if working on these are easy or not. if i can't find one/ afford one i was looking into doing a classic with a new mini engine. is that possible? any info on this can be useful. thanks

Default RE: redoing a mini

74's can be found ... As for how hard/easy they are to redo it depends what you start out with a rusted out piece of junk or a pristine one ...
As for swapping the "new" mini engine anything is possible with enough $$$ but it would be highly expensive and electrically very very difficult ...
The easier engine swap is the VTEC honda driveline
