Default Mud flaps and stone guards

Anybody used them or wished that they had? Our R56 (Spice Orange) is somewhere at sea, should arrive in 4 or 5 weeks, and we're just considering what protection to put on before exposing it to the road. I've looked at a bunch of used Minis and a clear bra is a no brainer but I'm not really seeing any damage that mud flaps or magnetic stone guards would prevent. Am I just missing something?
TIA and have fun...

Default Looks the same to me

I just bought a 2007 Mini S with 44k miles and it has it's fair share of touched up rock chips in the front. However, I also see no damage on the lower sills of the car that stone guards/mud flaps would be required for so as it looks like a non-issue to me. I was interested in the same situation as my C5 Corvette took a pretty good beating along the lower door sills.

If you closely examine the rear wheel arch you can normally see damage on the front lower from stones kicked up ... It also seems more prevelant on cars that are on gravel roads ect

The mudflaps are cheap from outmotoring

Thank you thank you...I've decided that the magnetic stone guard is not in our future but that front mud flaps are. $32 from the dealer, $20 from outmotoring...who wants more money in their wallet????? ME!!!!
Just got an email from one of our MA's...the boat docks November 9...
