Avg. Lifespan of a Mini

I am doing some research and have always wanted to purchase a Mini of my own. However, it has to be a financially sound decision before I go through and buy one. I am looking at a few used Mini(s) approx. 2003-08 with 45,000-90,000 miles. I am hoping for input from those that currently own Mini Coopers. Thanks for your time.

Local here has an 03 with 400k miles and climbing it's like any other car proper maintenance is a key to keeping it around
