Default Buying new Cooper S- Help getting a good deal?

Looking at new 2010 Cooper S in Northern CA and looking for any advice on getting a good deal. I have read that they are too popular to get any discounts off MSRP.
Also, what is the difference between 1st and 2nd generation Mini's?

1st gen = supercharger
2nd gen = turbo

Most dealers are MSRP , some of the 09's are discounted but that was only like $1000 off

Many dealers will throw in accessories ect to sweeten a deal , also watch for financing specials , I got a 10 clubmam for 0% financing

Thanks for the help. It's nice to hear from real people not just some website telling me I can't negotiate.
Also thanks for the other answer too!
Guess I'm just going to look for a Mini with less options on it.
