Default Brake caliper removal - help

07 S. Trying to do a brake job and cannot get the caliper off of the rotor. The bolts are out and the caliper moves up and down but it will not pull away. Any secrets? I have "tapped" it pretty hard and am concerned that if I hit it any harder I might damage the caliper.
