Default GARMIN NAV bracket install

ok I just got my 2010 Mini Cooper S Convertible yesterday....and a speeding ticket within 24 hours of getting it delivered....

Now I am trying to install this darn Garmin Nav bracket and the instructions basically stink. The x9002 plug does not have any wires in the 17 and 18 socket locations. I have 4 wires a1, a2, a3, and a4. I need to know what to do with this! I have looked every where and even called 3 dealers and no body knows! Can someone help me please? And i would not like it so it goes on and off with the door opening and closing. I would hope there is a better solution.

SO PLEASE Help so I can put my steering column back together. This car is for my wife and she definitely needs the GPS and I just wanted a clean look....but right now it looks like the dash exploded.
