Mini Cooper s burning smell

Dear all,

Recently picked up a 2005 Mini Cooper s. I have noticed the engine smells funny almost a burning plastic smell when I drive for 20 miles or more.

Any suggestions what might be wrong if anything at all?

Is the smell coming from the vents? Rubber smell too? Any smoke?
