Default Very loud engine sound

Hi guys,

Noticed that my R56 Cooper's engine noise is very loud as compared to others. Could there be anything wrong with it? The mileage is about 20,000miles.

Please help

Thanks

Do you have a S model? If so theres a number of things that cause a noisy engine.
For starters your timing chain could be causing a rattle (due to low oil, timing chain strecthed, loose tensioner exct.) , i suggest you check your
oil level.I have also seen friction wheels and water pumps cause a bad whistling noise. Also be aware the N14/N12 engines are just plain and simply noisy.Take it to
your local dealer becouse either one of the explained possible symptoms could and mostly do lead to bigger problems.
