vinyl sticker remover

I've been removing a clear 3M bra from my 03 mini. I assume the original owner had it on since 03, and it's all come off except for a patch above the hood scoop. the patch is all scratched up from wind being on the front of the car and even plastic razors couldn't scrape it off without chipping the paint. I guess the years of heating up and cooling down really made the glue stick.

Is there any chemical or substance I can put on the vinyl sticker to soften it up and help it come off easier?

3M Adhesive remover and a heat gun normaly works for me
