Default Looking for some Mods????

Hello fellow Cooper owners. I am a NOOB to all this. I currently have a 2003 Mini Cooper S, 6 Speed Manual. It is currently all stock and wanna work on it over the winter. I was looking to do a few minor mods to it and was hoping to get some advice on what to do and which brands work best with Mini's. I had the idea of doing an intake, cat-back exhaust, smaller pulley, maybe a short shifter, wasn't sure about and chips out there. don't wanna spend a lot and want to keep it a DD..... Just put new tires on and they said I need new front brakes and rotors so was wondering if there is anything aftermarket that was a little better, wasnt sure to go slotted or crossdrilled. PLEASE HELP THE NEWEST NOOB TO THE MINI FAMILY.... THX

I'd definitely take care of the brake issue first before doing any mods but when that's all taken care of, a smaller pulley, intake, and exhaust is a good start. I've got a 2005 MCS with 19% reduction pulley, cold air intake, and invidia exhaust. A short shifter would be good too. That's the next thing I'm doing with mine. A couple of big websites I'd go look at are promini.com, minimania, & madnessmotorworks.com (formerly MiniMadness). Check out those websites and see what you can find. Welcome to the family.

I have a 2007 MC S Cabrio with the Steptronic automatic. What do you think is the best CAI for my car. I'm looking for something that will add power without excessive noise. Thanks for the advice!!

How much do the JCW intakes usually run? I bought my intake for $250 and that includes cowl mod and cleaning kit.
