I few times while driving my '12 hardtop, I have gotten a whistle coming from the leading edge of the passenger window. Know it has only happened when doing around 80 and it hasn't happened every time I have gone that speed on that stretch of road. When I lowered the window just a bit it goes away which helped me pinpoint where the noise comes from. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this.

 

After putting more miles on my Mini, I believe where the sound comes from is the ventilation system in the dash. I believe it takes quite a brisk wind to cause it, one time, a semi going the other way on the road made it do it as it drove by. I also noticed at Wal mart, someone was using a scanner to inventory stock or something and it made the same sound. Crazy
