Default Ancient Minin owner

In 1970 I gave myself a present for graduating college, a 3 month trip around Europe. I asked my English cousin Ian to find me a Mini to drive while there.
He found me a cherry white w/ black top Cooper that served me well. After 6000 miles around the continent I had it shipped home.
I won't bore you with the long story but I eventually sold it. Big mistake!

Fast forward to March 2011, my wife needed a new car and wanted one with a stick shift. I knew I was being manipulated but didn't care. She loves her white w/ black top Cooper S.

It finally comes full circle. Which is more fun to drive though? The classic or modern one?

That's a tough call. I don't think I could still fit into an original. Sharon's S is an amazing car but I don't drive it very much. These days I like a car with a longer wheelbase for a smoother ride, my Audi A6 fills that need.

I was at our Mini dealer a month ago getting work done just before the warranty expired and I sat in one of those, quite nice.

PP.com, I agree, nice sentiment, but I'd rather put those chips towards the next ride in my future
