Default Hi everyone

Hi I've joined the forum because my wife has down sized from a Mitsubishi Shogun to a 2008 Mini Clubman Cooper D. She is called Mabel and it is the first car that I have seen my wife actually enjoy! It has panoramic sunroof and pepper pack option. Here's a couple of pics.

Great ride! I really wish i opted for the panoramic sunroof. It looks so great on the cooper and is probably the best car to have it on, in my opinion.

The sunroof is a good idea but it is noisy as hell when it is open and driving. I never have it open for that reason. Maybe a deflector would work but I can't find them for sale.

Aw man, you took all the wind out of my sails. I have never seen a deflector built to cooper spec, but then again I am somewhat new to the cooper game. Do you think it is possible that they make a digital noise reducer you could just pop in when you upen up the top?

I was looking online for them and could only find universal ones and they are in the US. The noise is like a repetitive booming which really spoils the drive. I like the Clubman a lot but the third rear door is rubbish on right hand drive models because the rear passengers would be getting out into the middle of the road and it also causes reduced visibility on your drivers blind spot. This would be a great car if these problems were addressed, but IMO it is positively dangerous with the blind spot.
I'd prefer it if it didn't have the small rear door and just had great visibility with another huge window like the other side. The 1.6D engine has plenty of poke for my wife but I'd be left wanting if this was my daily. I'm currently building a 1981 Vauxhall astra mk1 with 210 BHP turbo motor under the bonnet. I'm not one for growing up!
