Taking my Mini to the Drive In...
First off, Hello all!
I took my mini to the drive in ( yeah, they still exist! ) a few months back, and for the life of me, I couldn't turn off the running lights, which annoyed the hell out of everyone around me. I saw options in the stalk menu, but it simply didn't seem to work.
So here's what I want to do, be able to leave the engine idling, but have all external lights off. This has to be an option, as 99% of all other vehicles around me pulled off this, generally non-herculean feat! In a double feature, 5 hours of movie, that will slaughter my battery.
So please, someone, tell me the process of disabling the lights. For the record, its a 2009 Canadian Mini Cooper.
If it isn't possible, does anyone know how long you can reliably run the stereo on battery.
