Default Pulley Questions

So you have to "lift" the engine to install the pulley. I have built my 66 mustang/347 Fuel injected, Superchared/t56 6 speed. doing all the work myself so I think I can handle this but wonder if there is an article online that might walk me though it. And which underdrive ratio would yall suggest?

Since you're looking to have the MINI as a fuel efficient alternative to your monster truck, I'd suggest a 15% s/c pulley. Even then, the fuel economy will be in direct proportion to your right foot, lol

Let me know how your pulley project goes. I'm looking at the SELF-ALIGNING -15% SUPERCHARGER PULLEY from Mina Mania. I just havent met anyone who's installed one and dynoed it.

Yes.. you have to jack the engine to make it happen!! Motor mounts are easy, make sure you disconnect the wires that might hang up when you do jack the engine up from underneath!! 15% is shown to be the best ratio... there are a bunch of others.. 15+2 crankshaft 17% or even a 19%. the higher the speed of the s/c the more issues you are going to have.. I know people that removed their 2% crank and kept the 15% s/c pulley, and say the power is the same thru their SOP meter!! SOOOooo... dont beat the mess out of the engine , unless you can pay for the repairs... cool?? 200/225 HP at the wheels makes these guys a total trip to drive!! yes?? ( basic mods.. CAI/ 15% / exhaust/ usually puts 175-185 to the wheels!!) a cylinder head is the needed mod to break the 200 WHP barrier..

Just me.......................................
