Default Wow!!

My brother just had his alt. and battery change in his 06 and the bill was $950.00. To me this seems extremly high priced, I do know the mini's are very compact but wow. I do work in the automotive field and have turned wrenches in the past so I have more of a clue than my brother. Is this a normal sounding price for this in a mini? or should he find a new mechanic?

$950 for a mini is way too high. My cousin had it in just $680 i guess..i would have to confirm rather.

I have an 06, where did he do that? I managed to change my battery for only 200$ and I think the alternator was around 400$.

I would think he certainly needs to find another mechanic. Almost a grand for that is way too much. What's the labor rate he was charged?
