Default Suspension thread

The Mini S I just got is stock and would like to start some modding. It may be a slow process because I modded my tC pretty heavily and it was a pain after it wrecked getting it back to stock. Insurance was not going to give me anything for the aftermarket TRD parts. My wife isn't thrilled about modding another car right away.

I would like to drop the Mini some. Looks like H&R springs or even coilovers only drop it 1" - 1.5". I guess that would be enough.

I also want to get a front strut brace and rear sway bar. H&R has a front sway bar, but no rear sway bar. Alta Performance has a couple of rear sway bars to choose from.

Anybody else got any thoughts or suggestions?

With Lowering you'll also have to install a set of camber plates front and rear arms to correct suspension angles and need a four wheel alaignment ... Plan on around $1000 WITHOUT strut replacement

Thanks. One step at a time. Not sure if I should stick with my 17" wheels or go up to 18" if I change wheels eventually at all.

I don't know what a 1980 210 is. I am leaning toward Texas Motorwerks for my suspension now. Performance springs, etc.
