Default Aftermarket radio: no sound

Hi guys: Bought a new Kenwood radio for my 05 R52. Also bought a harness adapter so I didn't cut the original wiring harness. Hooked it all up, and radio works but no sound.

Did a little research, and read a few things about an amp not being powered. Hooked the blue/white "antenna connector" wire from the new radio's harness to the blue/white wire on the harness adapter: still no sound.

Not sure where to go from here. Anyone solved this issue already?

Did. My R52 has the Harmon Kardon sound system, and there's something about that system that requires a special adapter. I can't remember the details now - it was several years ago, but if you Google Mini Cooper Harmon Kardon adapter, you'll get some info.
