Default Blown gasket, cost of engine replacement?

I have a 2006 Mini Cooper S Cabrio and the engine overheated apparently and the head gasket is blown. They are quoting me $5-6k to fix it. The break down is this:

-Remove and replace gasoline, replace fuel pump and fuel filter $655.00 + cost of fuel.
-Remove and replace Injectors, Fuel rail and pressure regulator due to corrosion $884.00.
-Head gasket blown from overheating. Send to machine shop to see if cylinder head is warped or cracked. If cylinder head is repairable estimate will be $4380.00.
-Should the cylinder head be unrepairable there will be an additional $2,555. (includes parts and labor).

I'm wondering if its better to get a complete engine replacement and if so how much it would cost including installation.

Thanks.

WOW sounds like Price gouging ... I've seen others with a blown head gasket under 1k even replacing the heads at 2k
