Changing wheel size

Hi - just got a 2005 mini cooper S convertible which is an absolute blast to drive, but rides like a tank owing to the 17 inch run flats. I would like to swap out to a smaller wheel size and mount non run-flats to improve the ride. I have located a reasonably priced set of 15" mini rims locally. Is there any reason I can't swap out my 17 inch wheels for 15 inch wheels?

It will work, cant go any smaller then 15" or it will not clear the brakes.
