Default Convertible problems

Hi I’m looking for some help. I bought a mini one convertible (I know this is a cooper forum) 2008 and everything worked as it should.

About 4 days ago I washed my car and had the roof down then put it up and now it no longer works. I’ve tried the sensors, there’s no red warning light flashing from the parcel shelf, I’ve checked all fuses and even charged the battery to see if that was the case.

Can anyone offer any assistance? I have no clue as to why it won’t work, the first part works, the sum roof will go back but when I press the button again nothing happens.

thanks!!

Good day!

I think the MINI ONE is the same as mine as far as the top sensors go... There are a few micro switches in the support shelf in the back and the access handles have to be stowed securely (if you have those) in order to make the module happy to drop the top... All the windows need to be down and that status is obtained from the GM.... So, if there is a communication issue, that could be one problem... I have that very issue now... My CVM (top module) isn't communicating with anything... I have my top down, instead of up... So, I'm not sure if that issue will keep the sunroof feature from working...

I think it is one or more of the switches our newer ragtops have over the 02-04's...

Good luck!!

Cheers!!
