My 1st mini
 

I bought my 1st mini without knowing much about them. It was a 2005 convertible with the timing chain out of it. Since it was so cheap I torn down motor, had head milled ( slightly warped), new everything on motor, new motor mounts, control arms, axels, suspension ( front and back).

so excited to get it started and would not idle. After looking all over for a vacuum leak found the front engine cover had a small crack in it. Replaced that and it fixed it.

now for my next worry….is the automatic any good? Since I never saw it run before now. If I like this car I think next year it will be a manual. Just goes to show to do your research before you buy. I’ll keep everyone posted.
