odb II P1477 trouble Code Help ?
 

my 06 MC S Convertible is reading an OBD2 Trouble code P1477, description indicates "MFC (Medium Fan Control) Primary Circuit Failure" or "Leakage Diagnostic Pump Reed Switch Did Not Open" depending on the code table read on the internet, two completely different things. Most describe the first problem, the later is rarely mention.

Now, anyone has a more clear knowledge of OBD2 code P1477 for Mini Cooper S convertible 2006 ? mi car is 2,000 Miles from nearest dealer, and would like to order thecorrect replacement part before tearing apart the car to find out it was a $20 sensor or relay.

By the way, car is running smooth as usual with no aparent damage. If I reset the code table, the "Service Engine Soon" lights up after a day or so again. A/C is cooling OK, no loss of power at all, no visible leaks, no weird stuff. Car is equiped with Boost and Amperage gages, Boost is the same as before the warning, BAT amperages also.

help is appreciated.
