I do not have knowledge of specific codes but when the words Evaporative & Emission run together the first easy fix is gas cap.

check it to make sure its seals are good and that it is installed correctly. My car just went for service with a CEL as I was told that you cannot clear with a hand scanner and that disconnecting the power for 15 minutes will not do so either. Is that true? seems not to me but things change as cars get newer.

Today it went into the shop after they said to bring it in. After my wife waited for a few hours and no response she got a little huffy. They then told her their diagnostic machine was broken and did not know when it would be fixed. They gave her a loaner and said when fixed they would drive it up to us which is over an hour away. We told them our thoughts on a vacuum leak and or the fuel system issues. We told them we think they caused it when they replaced our filters by not sealing the system back correctly. We will see in a day or 2 but it sures is funny how quick they got my wife out of there.

Conclusion to story. They brought our Mini back today. They did not charge us as it seems they knocked one of the lines off while servicing the filters. They driver did not know what one but I am going to call to find out what one. Thanks to everyone for your replies
