tension cable popped out/missing
 

Hi y'all. I hope this is in the right forum. My top has never worked right since I bought the 2005 mini convertible used a few months ago. Now I maybe see why--the cable on the right (which popped out of its slot) is missing its counterpart on the left, as you'll see in the pics. Any suggestions? Can this be fixed?
