wanting to make a deal for an 08 coop
 

I went and talked with a dealer a few days ago about a cooper with the premium and convenience packages with a walk out price of around 24k. VW is offering me a GTI with leather and an autobahn package for the same price. Does anyone think I could talk to the dealer into upgrading to an S for the same price or around $1000 more?

talk to the dealer... though, I would consider the GTI... I have to Cooper W/a premium pck. and I love it... but I would much rather get the S... (my wife bought this one b4 we got married and now I have to keep paying for it).
If your into performace, make sure you check which car is faster and more reliable...
Check for prices on parts and maint.
If you compare the S w/ the GTI remember the S is SC (supercharged)... is not the same as a NA car... (naturally aspirated).
Check mpg as well, gas prices are getting higher man!
