08 MCS not starting
 

My 08 Cooper S has been having a few issues for awhile. The list is getting long. It started recently with the car starting perfectly cold and not starting back after sitting in the sunshine all day. It was not registering that foot was on the brake to allow the car to start, replaced the brake plug twice. It also is locking and unlocking by itself and I believe boot opened itself and wont shut back. Radio display goes out when it is hot outside. The key is also currently stuck in the slot and it will not release. There have been no warning lights so far. I was driving it one day, it started up roughly and drove roughly with power seeming to surge here and there before shutting off as I turned onto the highway. Still with no warning lights.

My husband is leaning towards it being a problem with the cars computer. Anyone have any experience with this?
