2007 Cooper S Oil Feed pipe/OFH Gaskets
Good evening all (Uk member),
I have an 01/2007 build Cooper S R56 (so N14B16). Have an oil leak manifesting on front underneath of engine gearbox side - in fact it’s dripping from all over the underneath of that side and dripping off bellhousing.. with engine running it’s an obvious drip..dripdrip, when turned off leak stops and just whats left there drips down overnight. I think from reaseach it’s going to be the OFH + Cooler gaskets and turbo feed pipe / return so planning to do all in one hit. My question, what are peoples thoughts on the braided hoses that replace the solid turbo oil feed pipes..? Plenty of the braided ones on ebay (uk) etc from various sellers, but before comitting to go that route, just wanted peoples experiences either going OEM route with an OE quality standard type pipe or fitting a braided hose. OFH gaskets, i’ll either go to bmw or again buy some OE quality set of seals. Many thanks in advance..! Dave..UK. |
Most go with the braided.
