I have a 2008 Mini Cooper Base model that has an issue with the fan. When I start the car in the morning the fan comes on automatically and stays on for about 5 minutes after I turn it off no matter how long the car was on. I checked the fuse box and there is one relay for stage 1 and another for stage 2 fan but I only have one relays installed. Maybe the other relay got removed when I took it to a mechanic, maybe it never had one. Do I need both relays for fan1 and fan 2? I replaced the thermostat and the pipe that goes across to the water pump and there are no leaks. I connected the scanner and the temp never moves form 32c (40 or 44) can't remember.

Anything else I could check?
