2012 mini Cooper doing some weird stuff.
My 2012 base model is driving me nuts. It started with a my ignition switch rapidly locking unlocking the key fob into the switch, and the cars ignition switching on and off, and being extremely difficult to start (had to hold the start button down until it decided to start). Everything worked normally while the car was running until (suddenly and without any warning) I had a stone dead battery. I replaced the battery and the rapid locking/unlocking of the key fob stopped, and the ignition started working normally. Two days later, I had a stone dead battery again. Disconnected the battery, recharged it, and reconnected it. The rapid locking/unlocking of the key fob started again. Now I the sunroof works, but the turn signals and windows don't, and I have the red service light on the dash, so I am assuming that the foot well module went bad? But anyone have any experience with the key fob lock/unlock issue? I've determined that even with the key out, the ignition somehow staying on and is on causing the battery to drain. And is there anyway to fix the foot well module without sending it out or replacing it???
