AfterMarket Steering wheel Install Steering Now Stiff to turn and does not re-center

2010 Mini Cooper S

Installed a NRG hub + NRG Quick Release with a Sparco Wheel 350mm

After Installing professionally cause I wanted the horn and turn canceler to still work took them 5 hours , the steering wheel is stiff / hard to turn , and when turning the steering wheel will not re-center almost feels like no power steering or something to tight , so I tried to remove the hub but they put it on so tight I cannot turn the nut by hand without a air tool ... nothing sounds like its rubbing I removed all the plastic ,

Do these cars has some sort of electrical sensor or something ? cars still drives straight and fine just super stiff to turn and does not re - center

they have a steering angle sensor built in the clock spring. and I think at some point in time, the DCS/ABS might turn on because they all communicate with each other.

That's funny you mention it today my TCS light just came on and looks like my hill assist came on both are yellow. How do I go about fixing this ? Do I go to the dealer or a shop ?

The dealer wont help with this type of mod. Depending on the shop's knowledge, they might hit your pocket.

Can you refit the clock spring back? It is the same assembly for the wipers and lights?

If it is still there, you need to check the connections.

Post pix of the setup if you dont mind and take the covers off if you can.

Finally, do you have one of those k+dcan cable with ncsexpert and winkfp?

I paid a shop to install this just because I wanted no problems they left the clock spring in when they installed the wheel, I want my turn singled to self cancel and horn to work .
as for the k×dcan cable with a ncsexpert and winkfp I have no idea what you mean sorry. He wants me to go back today for a scan and see what the codes are but I think its cause of the aftermarket wheel it's been on about 2 weeks almost just weird cause Wednesday I got a bov installed and racing seats with an intake that day I drove it home and lights came on so i figured it was the bov but from what I'm reading it's the steering wheel
