Any Good non-dealership repair shops?

Hi All,
I am new to the forum but not a new Mini owner. We are on our 3rd. We have a 2007 base. Last week it overheated on my wife and there is definate damage. It does run, but rough and has a crazy click sound...but not the same kind like a rod knocking. I am preparing for the worst, looking at replacement engines but hoping there is a chance it can be salvaged without replacing the engine. Some googling has found the clicking issue related to the timing chain tensioner. The sick thing is that the plastic thermostate housing has a melted hole.

thats the background.....but anywone know any consistently good non-dealers in the northern VA area. I found Baverian Service in Alexandria but they won't return emails/calls. I found a place in Rockville that specializes in minis and spoke a first time but no return calls....hoping. I just don't want another parts-replacer on this.

comments?

Thanks,
Dave

many of the overheat jobs are cracked damaged heads the noise is the valves hitting/bent. you might be lucky and just need a reman head
