Backup Camera

Hello all, I have a 09 convertible and I am trying to put in a backup camera. When I connect to the reverse light, the camera will come on, then shut off a few seconds later. If I direct connect to my battery the camera stays on. I am trying to not have it directly connected to the battery as it will drain it. Please advise. Thank you

Try a connection into your brake light.should work.
