Caliper problem
Hey everyone.
I have an '07 Cooper. About a year ago (April 2009), I replaced had to have my brake pads replaced prematurely on the left rear wheel. The mechanic that I went to told me that the caliper was sticking and wearing down the brake pad too much. The dealership disagreed and refused to replace the caliper. We replaced the pads and everything seemed to be working well.
However, today I took in my cooper again and on the left rear wheel there's practically no brake pad. At the same time, there's plenty of brake pad left on each of the three other wheels. Now I'm looking to replaced/tweak the caliper just in case it needs work or needs to be unstuck.
Has anyone else had this kind of problem? Is this a recurring problem with '07 or later mini coopers?
